Raise The Wall Project

Good Day From Bolivia,

We would like to take a moment and update you on our new church land.   The owners were living there and we agreed to allow them to stay a month to find a new place to live.  That date was the 10th of August and they have found their place and gone.  We have the keys and are ready to get started on the work we need to do to the building.

We had someone not long ago mention that we do not advise people of our needs enough. They wanted to know more of what needs we had so that they could pray about them and possibly help.  I would like to take this opportunity to try and let you know of a need so that you can also help pray about them too.

We mentioned in our July prayer letter that we had to borrow $1,200 to finish the closing costs.  This was because of the issues we ran into getting the money in country.  We are very thankful that most of this has been given or promised.  A very big thank you to those that have helped us get that situation taken care of.

In our latest prayer letter we mentioned we were getting prices on building our security wall around the property.  To build the wall and put in the front gate will cost us almost $5,000.  Thankfully some have already helped and so far we have a little over $2,000.  The former owner warned us he had a lot of issues with people stealing his materials when he was building the house.  Enough so, he had to move into the unfinished house to try and protect his materials. We have also already seen some people snooping around and checking things out.  Because of this issue, we are going ahead and getting started with what we can.  We will use what money we have to build as much as we can. Then as we save or raise more, we will keep going. The wall will be about 8 feet tall and 233 feet in total length.  It will go all the way around our property with the exception of the gate that will be on the front.

We are starting a “Raise The Wall” project. We are already working to pour the base of the wall. It will take 3,000 brick to raise the wall. Therefore, we are asking for help buying the brick. For $1 per brick, we can purchase the brick, the mortar and pay for the labor costs to lay it. This should cover everything we need for building the whole wall.

Would you be willing to help raise the wall?
