OCTOBER 2026 UPDATE

Good Day from Bolivia,

Springtime in Bolivia is upon us, bringing with it soaring temperatures. We are already experiencing highs close to 100°F, with a “feels-like” temperature around 110°F at times. Despite the heat, we’ve had a remarkably busy month.

First, I would like to provide an update on Jessica’s knees. We managed to arrange for a treatment here, which is similar to what she typically receives in the States. However, this time, it took longer for her to feel better. In fact, she experienced increased discomfort for two weeks before she began to feel relief. We were able to get an MRI conducted here and have sent the results to a doctor in the States. We are currently awaiting his feedback, but at this point, we believe this treatment will provide her with relief for a few months. We have some ideas for potential assistance in the States next year, but we are still praying for guidance. Thank you for your prayers; please continue to pray for us as we navigate these future decisions.

With the Lord’s help, we continue to support the struggling church I mentioned last month. We dedicated a couple of weeks to working around the property and building. After a fresh coat of paint and a new sign, everything looks completely revitalized! Recently, we baptized four young individuals, and amid all the activity, one long-time member expressed her excitement about the progress and her desire to be actively involved moving forward. At the end of the month, the church hosted a conference, welcoming pastors from 15 to 20 different churches. This was a significant event for them since they had felt isolated from other believers and churches until now. One member remarked that she hadn’tseen the church so full in over 20 years! It is such a blessing to witness this renewed enthusiasm. Please continue to pray for this church as we work together towards their future. In the upcoming weeks, we will be ordaining their pastor and have several other endeavors lined up to assist them. There is still quite a bit of work to be done on the church building itself.

Regarding the previously mentioned conference, we had the pleasure of hosting several members from our home church: our pastor, associate pastor, their wives, and our pastor’s granddaughter.   They traveled to La Paz for the opening of a new church, then returned to Santa Cruz to attend, preach and teach at our conference. We then journeyed to Cochabamba to support a pastor who recently lost his wife. While in that city, we considered the idea of incorporating another Bolivian mission under our ministry. It’s important to remember that it is a legal requirement to have a mission representing the churches before the government. After our group returned to the States, I flew back to Cochabamba for that mission’s annual meeting to present this proposal to the members. If approved, this will add approximately 60 churches and nationals under our ministry's care.

Finally, we have wonderful news regarding the purchase of the Venezuelan boat! We have successfully finalized the purchase! This is thrilling news! This boat will enable the national pastor to reach further up the Amazon River with the gospel! This has been a long-awaited milestone, and we can’t wait to see how the Lord uses this tool for His glory!

Thank you again for everything you do to make the ministry here possible through both prayer and financial support. After what we felt was a bit of a dry season in our ministry, it has been wonderful to see these new advancements God has made possible.
